The Cucina Laforza features a food service grade butcher block atop a stainless steel base. The hefty and durable 6-inch thick butcher block top is composed of Northern hard rock maple with the standard Boos Block Cream Finish with Beeswax. The Boos block cream penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaving a silky wax barrier to lock moisture in, and allows your board to be used as a cutting surface. This finish can be maintained with John Boos Mystery Oil or Boos Board Cream. The optional stainless steel base features a lower shelf that offers a convenient and sturdy place to store ingredients, pots or other cooking supplies. If you choose the stainless steel base, four feet are adjustable so you can make the Cucina Laforza level on any surface! Please use the drop-down menu if you would like to add the base to your order. The Cucina Laforza features a 6-inch thick Northern Hard Rock Maple butcher block with end-grain construction. The end-grain work surface is easy on knives; during cutting or chopping, the end grain wood fibers absorb the impact of the blade, which keeps knives sharper longer. The malleable and forgiving end grain surface is resistant to nicks and gouges, which prevents bacteria from entering the wood, keeps the board looking new longer and increases its longevity.
